Meet Our Founder
Hello, I´m Charlotte Ramis, Founder of How We Raise™.
Ten years ago, I moved to Spain - where I not only found a new culture to call home, but I also fell in love and got married. During this time, I´ve never felt so connected to my career and education. I thrive on learning, growing, and constantly developing my knowledge and skills so I can better serve the families and children I work with.
I graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Child Development and Psychology, and a Masters in Counselling and Guidance. For over the past decade, I´ve worked closely with families around the world as a Private Educator, Governess, Personal Family Assistant, Mentor and Emotional Support Consultant.
My journey has taken me into homes across Europe, U.S and the Middle East, guiding children through learning challenges, supporting parents through transitions, and helping families build calm, connected lives.
Why I Created How We Raise™
I created How We Raise™ because I saw a gap - families often had practical help, but rarely the kind of emotional support, guidance, and holistic care that makes families truly thrive.
In my years of working closely with parents and children, I witnessed the pressures families face: The busy schedules, The academic expectations and The quiet moments of doubt that parents often carry alone. I also saw how children light up when they feel understood, and how parents flourish when they have someone walking beside them with encouragement, tools and perspective.
How We Raise™ was born from a desire to bring those two worlds together - to create a space where parents can feel empowered, children can feel safe and inspired, and families can discover more joy and connecting in their everyday lives.
This isn´t just a business for me - its my life´s work. Its the expression of my passion for education, psychology, and family wellbeing, combined with the lessons i´ve learnt living and working not only in spain but worldwide over the decade.
At its Heart , How We Raise™ is here to remind families that they dont have to do it all alone. With the right support, guidance, and creativity parenting can feel lighter, children can fell stronger, and family life can become something deeply meaningful.
Our Philosophy
At How We Raise™, we believe that:
Parenting should feel supported, not overwhelming.
We help parents find calm in the chaos and confidence in their decisions.
Children thrive when they feel safe, curious and understood.
We focus on nurturing emotional wellbeing as much as academic growth, because resilience and joy are foundations for lifelong learning.
Families flourish when connection, creativity and calm are at the heart of daily life.
We believe in slowing down, creating meaningful rituals, and weaving creativity into everyday life so that family moments are treasured not rushed.
Every child is unique.
We adapt our guidance to each family, respecting their story, culture and rhythm while offering professional expertise and gentle structure.
Growth never stops.
Just as children are always learning, so are parents - and so are we. Thats why our work blends Montessori principles, Nordic simplicity, emotional awareness, and parent coaching practices with a commitment to constant learning and evolving.
